History

1683, the city wall was located. The story tells that the defenders were supplied with free wine before the fight and then fought with a lot of courage and good mood against the Turkish overpowerment. This was the beginning of the wine tasting in the Esterházy Cellar. Since that time the tradition has been preserved in the Esterházy cellar of princely wine from Esterházy Castle in Eisenstadt. The handmade bricks of the original vault dating from the 15th century tell of legends and customs.

And this is the Esterházy cellar to this day.

A place of conviviality, joy of life and communication.
